§1 Application

( 1 ) Application period: 08.05.2013 to 19.05.2013 19:59
( 2 ) A complete application must be sent to contest@we-mod-it.com within the period of the application. A complete application includes at least: a brief description of the project - Pictures are welcome but not a must. In addition, the modder should give references to already completed projects, if available. Finally, a full address including the telephone number under which the participants are available in the daytime are required. The contact data is only used for the purposes of sending the modding packages and prizes and are not used for other purposes, or passed on.
( 3 ) Any resident of the EU (incl. United Kingdom) over the age of 14 can apply.
( 4 ) The application does not automatically lead to participation. After the examination of all the submitted documents the jury will decide who will take part. Note: Complete applications with pictures and descriptions can increase the chances of participation, however do not guarantee it.
( 5 ) By applying for this contest the participants agree with the complete set of rules.

§2 Contest

( 1 ) Modding-period: 24.05.2013 08:00 until 18.08.2013 20:59
( 2 ) Every participant gets a set containing an Enermax Triathlor FC 700W Power Supply, a set of Enermax fans of up to six fans (free choice from following series UCMA12, UCEV12, UCEV14, UCCL12, UCCL14, UCTA12N) and a 100€ (gross) brutto Aquatuning shopping trolley with products of following brands: Phobya, Masterkleer and Alphacool in the Aquatuning online shop. These products have to be used in the the modding period. The participant has to bear any further costs like other hardware and materials.
( 3 ) The provided basic modding equipment has to be used completely in the project by the end of the modding period. This especially applies to the products of free choice in form of the set of fans and the Aquatuning shopping trolley. All unused products have to be sent back at own expense at the end of the modding period.
( 4 ) A complete Worklog has to be kept in the We-Mod-It Contest sub-forum during the modding period.
( 5 ) At the start of the contest a code will be published in this thread. This code has to be written on all the sealed packages of the provided modding equipment (Power suppy, all the fans, as well as all the products from Aquatuning).This is to make sure that no contestant can start too early. At least two photos from a different angle are required of every part. Any violation will lead to an instant disqualification.
( 6 ) Every participant obliges to updating the worklog at least once a week. That includes at least one meaningful picture of the work done. Unexcused failure to do so will lead to disqualification. The worklog has to be in English or german languare
( 7 ) The modifications must largely be carried out by the participant.
( 8 ) The casecon must later be able to house a working computer. It is not mandatory to install hardware, but if no hardware is installed the participant has to prove that operation is possible with standard hardware without any restrictions.
( 9 ) Sponsoring by third parties is allowed. However logos, banners and pure product placements are forbidden. Any form of thanks is to be in written form only and modding has to always be in the center of the worklog. In the case of violation the corresponding post will be deleted and the participant will be cautioned.
( 10 ) Keeping a worklog in other forums is permitted under following conditions:
The main worklog has to be kept at We-Mod-It. Furthermore the participant has to use a banner supplied by us in his signature and at the start of the first post in the forum in which the worklog-duplicate is kept. These banners have to be linked to the main worklog at We-Mod-It. All contest rules also apply to the duplicate-worklogs in the other forums in addition to the forum-rules in those forums.
( 11 )Dangerous and hazardous work has to be marked as such in order to avoid accidents imitators. Furthermore, the completed project must meet all the health and safety guidelines. (For example uninuslated cables, sharp edges and leaking water cooling loops.)
( 12 ) Jury instructions must always be followed. Furthermore the jury can always ask for more pictures and explanations.
( 13 ) Big or frequent violations of the rules will lead to the disqualification of the participant. In this case the participant has to send back all of the provided modding equipment to the organizers at his own expense.
( 14 ) The forum rules and general etiquette apply throughout the whole contest. Fairness and sportsmanship are the top priorities.

§3 Voting and announcement of the winners

( 1 ) Voting period: 19.08.2013 until 01.09.2013
( 2 ) The voting will constist of an open voting and a closed jury voting weighted at 30 to 70%.
( 3 ) All forum members that meet the minimum criteria can participate in the public vote.
( 4 ) A jury will vote internally on the different rankings. The jury consists of known casemodder and knowledgeable members of the forums.
( 5 ) The installed hardware or the chosen cooling methods don’t play a role in the vote.
( 6 ) The key points of the voting criteria are design, electronics, creativity and craftsmanship. Details on the criteria will not be announced by the judges. Only the parts of the case that were made or modified by the participant will be considered in the vote. Any bought but unmodified parts will not be considered in the vote.
( 7 ) Please ensure that good quality images are used for the documentation. Sufficient lighting, high image resolution and interference free pictures facilitate the work of the judge. Towards the end of the competition it is recommended that the finished project is photographed from all sides and also giving detailed views.
( 8 ) The assessment of the individual cases by the jury is done in a non-public procedure. The winners will be announced after all votes are counted and all consultations have ended.
( 9 ) The winners will be announced on the 01.09.13 After that the prizes will be shipped.
( 10 ) All prizes and coupons are not payable in any other way and only obtainable as such.

§4 Disclamer and legal notice:

( 1 ) The organizers, sponsors and judges assume no liability for destroyed hardware, tools and other objects as well as personal injuries and other damages in the course of this contest. No liability is assumed by the organizers, sponsors and judges for third party proposals and their execution and any resulting damages.
( 2 ) All decisions are final, especially for the determination of the participants and for the determination of the rankings. The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal, the objectivity of the jury during the contest is beyond question and is always given.
